The bit about the scam starts at 2:14 if you are in a hurry.

Spots the reply pretending to be you

The classic YouTube scam is a reply wearing the creator's name and photo, sending viewers to WhatsApp. A display name proves nothing — copying it is the entire trick.

  • Every reply is checked against the channel's real ID, not its name
  • Look-alike tricks like Stud1o N1ne for Studio Nine are caught too
  • The genuine creator is marked; the copycat is flagged

Workspace

One complete view of the conversation

Combine public channel or video totals with transparent metrics from the comments currently loaded in your browser.

01

Overview & audience

Public totals, participation, activity periods and recurring commenters.

02

Comments & moderation

Search every thread and prioritize questions, abuse, spam and impersonation.

03

Content & chapters

Compare loaded discussion and turn audience timestamps into chapter ideas.

04

Giveaways

Run reproducible draws with filters, a public seed and downloadable proof.

Exports

Take all of it with you

Export what is on screen, or fetch every comment on the channel and download the complete set. Fourteen columns either way, priority and flags included.

CSV

CSV

UTF-8 with a byte-order mark, so Excel on Windows shows accents and emoji properly instead of mangling them.

XLS

Excel

A real .xlsx workbook, not a renamed CSV. Likes arrive as numbers you can sort and total.

{ }

JSON

For scripts and pipelines. Full metadata, reply threading through parent IDs, and the query that produced it.

ALL

Fetch everything

Walks every page with a live counter and a stop button, then hands you the full set in any format.

FAQ

Before you start

What does it cost?
Nothing. Every dashboard, moderation tool and export format is available without an account, trial or payment. Nothing is installed and nothing is uploaded.
Do I need an API key or a Google account?
No. There is nothing to set up — paste a link and it works. ClearComments runs on its own YouTube API key, which means it also runs on a single shared daily allowance. On a busy day that allowance can run out, and the app will say so plainly and ask you to come back after it resets at midnight Pacific time.
Do you see what I search for?
No analytics reads your searches or comments. Requests pass through a restricted proxy so the YouTube credential stays private; the proxy does not cache or store channel IDs, searches or comments, and the browser keeps results in memory only until you close the page.
Which comments can it see?
Public comments on public videos — the same ones any visitor can read. Comments YouTube has already held for review or marked as likely spam are visible only to the channel owner through an authorised login, so no public tool can show them.
Does it include replies?
Yes. Replies appear nested under their parent and are included in exports with a parent ID, so you can rebuild the threads. Very long threads load the remainder only when you open them, rather than fetching every thread up front.
